Spark Plug: Removal and Installation

WARNING:

Be sure the engine and ignition switch are off and that the parking brake is engaged securely.

CAUTION:

Be sure to use the correct socket to remove the spark plugs. An incorrect socket can damage the spark plugs.

Removal

1) Remove the ignition coil. Refer to Removal and Installation.
2) Remove the spark plug using a suitable tool.






CAUTION:
Do not drop or shock it.

Inspection after Removal

- Do not use a wire brush for cleaning.





- If the spark plug tip is covered with carbon, spark plug cleaner may be used.






- Checking and adjusting spark plug gap is not required between change intervals.






Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

Do not drop or shock the spark plug.
