Throttle Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

2ZR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the throttle position sensor.

(1) Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.

(2) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(3) Turn the tester ON.

(4) Start the engine.

(5) Select the following menu items:

Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Throttle Position.

(6) Depress the accelerator pedal.

OK:

Make sure that the throttle valve is opened when the accelerator pedal is depressed.
