Fuel Level Sensor

The scan tool displays 5.0-0 volts. The PCM supplies a 5.0-volt signal circuit to the fuel level sensor. The float inside the fuel tank controls a variable resistor which varies the resistance based on fuel level. The scan tool displays below 1.0 volt for an empty tank, and close to 2.5 volts for a full tank.
