Fuel Level Sensor

The scan tool displays 5.0-0 Volts. The PCM supplies a 5.0 Volt signal circuit to the fuel level sensor. The float inside the fuel tank controls a variable resistor which varies the resistance based on fuel level. The scan tool displays below 1.0 Volt for an empty tank, and close to 2.5 Volts for a full tank.
