Cylinder-Block Mounted Knock Sensor (KS)









Removal

Cylinder head-mounted

1. Disconnect the Knock Sensor (KS) electrical connector.

2. Remove the bolt and the KS.

Engine block-mounted

3. Remove the lower intake manifold. For additional information, refer to Engine - 3.0L (4V) Lower Intake Manifold.

4. Disconnect the KS electrical connector.

5. Remove the bolt and the KS.

Installation

Engine block-mounted

1. Install the KS and the bolt.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

2. Connect the KS electrical connector.

3. Install the lower intake manifold. For additional information, refer to Engine - 3.0L (4V) Lower Intake Manifold.

Cylinder head-mounted

4. Install the KS and the bolt.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

5. Connect the KS electrical connector.
