Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 4.0L






1. Disconnect battery.
2. Partially drain the cooling system. See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT - 4.0L.
3. Disconnect engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor connector.
4. Remove the clip and the ETC sensor. Discard the O-ring seal.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install a new O-ring seal.
