Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

Inhibitor Switch Adjustment:

1. Turn manual shaft to "N" position.
2. Loosen switch mounting bolts.
3. Remove screw plug and align holes of inhibitor switch and manual shaft lever by inserting a pin of approximately 0.079 in (2.0 mm) OD.
4. Torque mounting bolts to 69 - 95 in lb (8 - 11 Nm).
5. Remove pin and install screw plug. Tighten to 4 - 6 in lb (0.49 - 0.69 Nm).
6. Check switch continuity as described in Testing and Inspection. If not as specified, replace switch.
