Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

Inhibitor Switch Adjustment:

1. Turn manual shaft to "N" position.
2. Loosen switch mounting bolts.
3. Remove screw plug and align holes of inhibitor switch and manual shaft lever by inserting a pin of approximately 2.0 mm (0.079 in) OD.
4. Torque mounting bolts to 8 - 11 Nm (69 - 95 in lb).
5. Recheck continuity across connector terminals. If not correct, replace switch.
6. Install selector lever and torque to 44 - 64 Nm (33 - 47 ft lb).
