Ignition Cable: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove ignition wires from engine.
2. Measure resistance of each wire. Readings should be:

No.
1 8.61k to 20.56k ohms
2 9.00k to 21.48k ohms
3 7.24k to 17.34k ohms
4 6.11k to 14.69k ohms
5 5.47k to 13.20k ohms
6 5.13k to 12.30k ohms
Coil lead 1.8k to 4.10k ohms

3. If wires are not to specification, replace wires.
