Electronic Control Assembly (ECA)

The Electronic Control Assembly (ECA) receives ignition ground and Profile Ignition Pickup (PIP) signals from the EDIS module then generates a Spark Angle Word (SAW) output signal based on fuel, air and other sensor information. An IDM signal is received from the EDIS module to determine if a failure mode should be recorded. For diagnosis and testing of the ECA refer to "COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS".
