Vehicle Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Fig. 8 Road Speed Sensor:

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove road speed sensor attaching bolt, then pull sensor out of differential case, Fig. 8.

Fig. 2 Transmission Control Unit (TCU) & Sensor Harness Locations:

3. Disconnect speed sensor harness (2) from TCU, Fig. 2, then remove sensor.
4. Reverse procedure to install, coating new sensor O-ring with transmission fluid prior to installation.
