Powertrain Control Module - Installation






INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Refer to PCM/ECM REPROGRAMMING for reprogramming procedures. If this step is not performed, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set. Programming and Relearning

CAUTION: Use the scan tool to reprogram the new PCM with the vehicles original identification number (VIN) and the vehicles original mileage. If this step is not performed, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set.


LEFT HAND DRIVE





1. Position the PCM (1) into the vehicle.
2. Install the PCM mounting screws (3). Tighten screws to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.).
3. Connect the PCM electrical connectors (2).
4. Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten nut to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.).

RIGHT HAND DRIVE





1. Position the PCM (1) into the vehicle.
2. Install the PCM mounting screws (3). Tighten screws to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.).
3. Connect the PCM electrical connectors (2).
4. Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten nut to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.).
