Powertrain Control Module - Installation

INSTALLATION

NOTE: If a replacement (new) PCM is being installed, the scan tool must be used to program (flash) the new PCM with vehicle specific information.

1. Position the PCM into the guide of the retaining bracket.
2. Carefully push the PCM in to the bracket.
3. Connect the PCM wiring harness connectors.
4. Connect negative battery cable.
5. Using the scan tool, perform the "Engine ECU Replaced (Drive Authorization)", "Check/Write VIN", "Throttle Valve Initialization", and "Fuel Pump Activation" procedures.Testing and Inspection
