IMPORTANT: The PCM can only be programmed using the Pass Through Programming method. The Pass Through Programming method requires the use of a scan tool in series with the Techline(TM) Terminal and the DLC.

1. Program the PCM according to the step by step procedures described in the Techline(TM) equipment users instructions.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT turn OFF the ignition if the programming procedure is interrupted or unsuccessful.

2. If the PCM fails to program, proceed as follows:
^ Check the connections at the following components:
- The Techline(TM) Terminal
- The scan tool
- The DLC
- The PCM
^ Check for the correct software version.
^ Repeat the programming.
^ If the programming fails again, replace and program a new PCM. Refer to Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Replacement.
3. After the download is complete, EXIT Service Programming.
4. Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds.
